This installation explores human connections through three complementary dimensions: visualization, interaction, and soundscape. These elements come together to create an immersive experience that questions humanity’s place in a world shaped by algorithmic systems and embraces uncertainty as an essential component of our interactions, whether human or technological. This project is conceived as a collaboration between the artist, the computer, and the audience. Each interaction enriches the whole, producing a unique and constantly evolving result. None of the participants—neither the artist, the machine, nor the public—holds absolute control over this living entity.
The visual dimension materializes as a field of brutalist towers connected by luminous bridges. These minimalist towers symbolize humanity reduced to standardized forms, mirroring systems that simplify individuals into exploitable categories. The luminous bridges, on the other hand, embody a vital energy, representing human relationships. Their lighting, modulated by spectator interactions, continuously transforms this structure, evoking the unpredictable dynamics of interpersonal connections shaped by computational systems.
The interactive component consists of a set of buttons that influence the illumination of the bridges between the towers. By manipulating this device, the spectator becomes an actor, seeking to grasp a complex and opaque system, a reflection of our ambivalent relationship with modern technologies.
The third dimension of the work is its soundscape, immersing the spectator in an atmosphere constructed from the acoustic environment of machines and computational systems, creating an industrial symphony. Like the visual and interactive elements, this sonic dimension is dynamic and unpredictable. Although the spectator’s intervention can influence certain parameters, complete control remains elusive, once again highlighting the opacity of technological systems and their impact on our lives.
